Join Black Girl Environmentalist DC/DMV and DC Black Girl Film Club for an evening of film, reflection, and community. We'll be screening Descendant, an award-winning documentary that tells the story of the descendants of the 110 Africans who were illegally brought to Alabama aboard the Clotilda in 1860, the last known slave ship to arrive in the United States. Following the screening, we'll host a community discussion to reflect and discuss its relevance to our own histories and communities today.
